The legendary John Lennon demo, which had been shrouded in myth for years, was initially revisited in February 1995 by Paul, George, and Ringo as part of The Beatles Anthology project. However, it remained unfinished due in part to the immense technological challenges posed by John’s 1970s recorded vocals on tape.

For many years, it seemed as though the song would never see completion. But in 2022, a stroke of serendipity occurred. A software system developed by Peter Jackson and his team, used during the production of the documentary series “Get Back,” finally made it possible to separate John’s vocal from his piano part. As a result, the original recording could be resurrected and reworked with contributions from all four Beatles.
